Zydeco Voodoo Revival (ZVR)

is a Bay Area band with a Louisiana-Mardi Gras sound. We play the kind of music that loves good friends and good times. Our mission is to keep alive the Zydeco/Mardi Gras style that began at rural house parties in Louisiana. ZVR puts a Zydeco twist on alternative classics like The Cure’s “Just Like Heaven,” and “Canary in a Coal Mine” by The Police as well as plays Zydeco/Mardi Gras staples from artists like Buckwheat Zydeco, John Paul Jr. and the Zydeco New Breeds and the Bay Area’s own Zydeco Flames.
